Tritonia - Mix
Tritonia - Mix
Tritonia (Tritonia crocata) produces elegant, funnel-shaped flowers in fiery orange, red and yellow shades on tall, wiry stems. This South African gem blooms prolifically in Indian conditions, creating a striking late-spring display.
- Bright funnel-shaped blooms in orange, red and yellow
- Tall wiry stems — excellent for cut flower arrangements
- Naturalises easily — spreads year after year
- Low maintenance South African bulb — very heat tolerant
- Great for borders, rockeries and cottage gardens
Plant corms 3-4 inches deep in well-draining sandy soil. Full sun preferred. Space 4-6 inches apart. Best planted in autumn (October-November) for spring blooms. Avoid heavy clay soil.
Minimal watering needed — drought tolerant. Water only during active growth. No fertilizer needed if soil is enriched. Allow to naturalise undisturbed for best results. Lift corms in waterlogged soils.
Blooms in spring (March-May). Each corm produces several stems with 6-10 flowers each. Excellent vase life. Corms multiply freely and flower more abundantly each year.
