Nerine Lily - Pink
Nerine Lily - Pink
Narine Lily (Nerine bowdenii) is a South African gem that produces delicate, spider-like flowers in vibrant pinks and reds during autumn — when most other flowers have faded. Its late-season blooms are a welcome surprise and garden highlight.
- Rare autumn bloomer — flowers when others have faded
- Delicate spider-like blooms in vivid pink and red shades
- Long-lasting cut flower with elegant, graceful stems
- Drought tolerant — thrives with minimal watering
- Multiplies freely to create stunning naturalistic drifts
Plant bulbs with nose just at or slightly above soil level. Well-draining soil in full sun. Space 4-6 inches apart. Best planted summer (June-August) for autumn blooms. Do not bury deeply.
Minimal watering needed — very drought tolerant. Water lightly during growing season, keep dry in summer. Do not disturb established clumps — they bloom better when congested. Feed annually in spring.
Blooms autumn (September-November). Flowers appear before or alongside leaves. Each stem produces 6-12 spidery florets. Outstanding for late-season colour and cut flower use.
